THE FIRST STEP TOWARD ANY ADOPTION IS A COMPLETED APPLICATION WHICH YOU WILL FIND ON OUR WEBSITE AT www.colliesheltierescue.org. THE MORE IFORMATION YOU CAN SHARE WITH US, THE BETTER WE CAN HELP GUIDE YOU TO A PERFECT MATCH FOR YOUR FAMILY. Aster is a glorious 8-week-old tri-color rough coated Collie puppy. (That is quite a mouthful and a lot of information.) This precious little bundle had a bit of a rough start to life and needed to be boosted with oxygen but she has not missed a beat since then. The incident seems to have instilled a "joie de vivre" in her. She adores everyone and wants to be busy all the time. A Collie puppy is the closest thing to heaven for those of us who love the breed. And Aster is a perfect representation of this breed. Loving and cuddly, playful and curious. She wags her tail so hard, it nearly knocks her over. And so her humans need to be the kind of folks who will make her life fun and full of adventures. Couch potatoes and Collie puppies are not a good match. That does not mean you can't put Aster on your lap and watch a Christmas movie. But then you will need to run around the yard, making wide circles and laughing. We will always give preference to a family with Collie experience when it comes to placing babies. A fenced yard is required as well as a fabulous reference from your veterinarian. We will also need to do a home visit or have digital photos of your fenced yard and interior of the house. Please don't be offended by the process. You know how wonderful you are. But we may not know you yet. I hope we will be friends when all is said and done. Bring happiness home with a Collie puppy.
