Learn more about the Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie.
Misty and her long-time companion, Prince, lived with a lady who became so ill that she was not even taking decent care of herself let alone a couple of senior dogs. None of the family members would take on the responsibility of a 14- or 15-year-old dog but they would not consider euthanasia either.
After some discussion, we agreed to take the dogs, hoping to give them some quality of life for as long as they were on the earth. Prince recently passed on. Read his story in the Director’s current post, Rainbow Bridge.
Misty, is a 14-year-old spayed female Sheltie. We have a ton of information on what she likes and what she eats and who signals what, when. And we will be glad to share all of that information with the right people who might consider sharing their lives with this sweet pooch.
Misty and Prince were best friends. They slept with their paws intertwined. They trotted along together slowly on leashes, side by side, and enjoy the warmth of the sun or the feeling of snowflakes on their upturned faces. Now Misty is alone.
Do we have some soft-hearted Sheltie lovers out there who would consider giving this gentle soul what we would all want at the end of our lives . . . a soft place to land and a gentle voice to sing a simple song?
